JamFactory’s Droplet Vinyl Toy!

News 1 Comment

Following up in Mr Jago’s CamoBot footsteps, I’ve got my very own vinyl toy in development which I’m super stoked about…

I’m SO so stoked to be able to show you this, it’s the final wax pattern mould for my very first and very own Vinyl toy named Droplet!!!

This little fella is being produced by the most excellent Andy Woo from Crazy Label (makers of Treeson) and it’s all just a dream come true for me!

He’s going to be tiny (2.5inches tall) and collectable with 5 colourways being available first!

He’ll be available sometime in the first quarter of 2008 so be sure to stay tuned for that! Next step is a sample made out of actual Vinyl and then the colourways, so I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Stay tuned for the last on it all @ www.jam-factory.com

Meet Kurt.

Meet Kurt. He’s the man with the laser power. Remember that laser-engraved board I blogged a while back?  Kurt’s the man with the power to do so. Think of him as the Xyn’s long-lost American Cousin. He’s the man.

Exhibitions 5 Comments

I’m real excited to announce this, the dates & times for the 3 Xynthetic group shows for 2008!

The series of show’s are called the CARBON&CHEMICALS mini art tour and we’re going to be hitting up Middlesbrough, Nottingham & Bristol with a low-fi analogue show featuring hand-painted skateboards with Lomo photography accompanying each piece, giving an insight into how it was made.

Aswell as the boards they’ll be unique hand-screened prints & 8mm film projection, so they’ll be plenty to come along and see.

Each city will have an opening night, featuring members of the Xyn there, music, drinks, sweeties and all the work to checkout. We’re going to add little bits to each show too, as the ‘tour’ progresses we’ll be documenting it with photography so those snaps will be added to the show too,  so make sure you come along to the opening night near you, dates & details below…

Chapter I: MIDDLESBROUGH
Opening night Friday 1st February 6.00 - 9.00pm
Kitch-en Gallery
, 46 Montrose Street, Middlesbrough
Show ends Friday 29th February

Chapter II: NOTTINGHAM
Opening night Friday 21st March 6.00 - 10.00pm

ED209, the Xyn’s audio ambassador hasn’t featured much on this website as of late but I wanna change that. I think a greta place to start will be to direct you to a place where you can hear his musical dopeness…

Spend some time surfing around Eds site too, to discover some gems and check out the artwork which he collaborates with long time friend Mr Jago.

I haven’t blogged this yet but if you’re coming to the Nottingham arm of the CARBON&CHEMICALS mini art tour next year, Ed will be DJing all night so you’ll get a chance to check out his skills in person!

The most excellent book from Tristan Manco is getting a launch with live drawing and book signing this month so make sure you get down to Rough Trade East on Brick Lane in London to check it out!

Xyn boys Mr Jago & Richt will be there doing their thing aswell as bristol legends Wetshame Crew and a whole heap of sick artists, so it’s going to be well worth a peep!
